Shop Update Sneak Peeks

Here are a few peeks of all of the dolls that will be in my shop Saturday. I will post more images on my Flickr site sometime Friday evening, so check there for full shots of the dolls. Please note that these will be the last of the animal masks with dolls (I may still use them on my mini sculptures). As I mentioned before these will also be the last of the dolls for this year. The next update will be a mini one with ornaments, sometime in early December :) Then it's  a good 3 weeks off for me before I dive back into dollmaking! See you tomorrow:)

Days Three and Four?

Rushing in again today to show another item that will be apart of the Etsy Benefit Sale which is turning into a week long event. Which is a fantastic  thing as many people are just hearing about it. Unfortunately I cant make duplicates of dolls, so instead I've made framed mini prints of my portrait painting of "Nie Nie". It is printed with archival inks on archival canvas paper and is approx 2.5" x  3". The outer frame is 4" x 4.5" and it comes ready to hang . The back is signed, numbered and also has the same Khalil Gibran quote on the back as the original painting does. It's a charming little piece and the good news is that there will be three of them available!(These will be part of the sale and will not be auctioned)

Nie~Nie Doll

 I hope everyones weekend is going well! I thought I'd go ahead and post images of this doll now as I had to send her off to L.A. this weekend. This is the "Nie-Nie" doll I created for the Etsy Benefit Sale for the Nielsen family. If you are unfamiliar with their story you can click here to find out about them and why this sale is being held. I hadn't planned on naming the doll after Stephanie but since people were referring  to her as such I thought it would be a nice touch since she is beloved by so many.
On the back of the 2" x 2.75" canvas I printed a quote by Khalil Gibran as I was inspired by a post Stephanie's sister wrote about beauty and sacrifice which was rather poignant. The doll and canvas (plus easel) will be available for sale Sept. 23-24th at this Etsy site. I will mention it again before the sale (along with an approxmate time the sale starts) . I know money is tight these days but if you can help by "adopting" this doll or any other item, please do~all proceeds will go to the Nielson family :)

For those of you asking when my next update wll be I am aiming for late September. I will post a notice here a week in advance. Thanks for being so patient~I have a lot on my plate right now and I'm trying my best to get to those dolls:)

I'm off to see if I can get Andres down for a nap..we went to a three hour birthday party today and despite bouncing around on the trampoline there, he is still going non-stop! I think I'm the one who needs a nap..have a great week  ;)

Well it's another quick post from yours truly! I'm off to visit family near Seattle for a few days. When I get back I'll be working on a few mermaids and then I'll be ready for the next shop update..finally! I hope to get back to more consistent posts and updates this summer~ I just need to get past this next busy week. Thanks for being so patient..see you soon!
