{ St. Valentinus }

Sorry no cherubs or flowers today...I had to share this image of St. Valentinus (the supposed remains of him). This image comes from the Immortal series ,by photographer Toby deSilva, of twelve martyred saints that were removed from Rome and interred at the Waldsassen Abbey. I know many will find these bejeweled skeletons macabe or creepy (they are) but I find them spectacular and will probably be referring back to them with my next set of Calavera Catrina Dolls.
